Attached to this post is a text and the content of the text message. This is a scam. If you were to follow the instructions in the message you would in fact authorize the scammers to spam you with your number being collected and saved. The scammers try to lure you into replying to the text by saying that they are the US Postal Service (which they are not) and they need your address to deliver a package. (there is no package).
Consider what happens...
Everyone loves getting packages (good ones) so that's the lure. We trust the US Postal Service to get us our mail and packages. (the trust) So you reply 'Y" to the text (your permission where they set their hook in you) then they send you a link to verify your full address (damage is done). What you will have done is give the scammers a legal subscription which gives them your mobile number, then you have given them your address and name. They can take this information to do all sorts of bad things. This is generally the first step in identity theft.
Best course of action is to delete the text and never reply to a message if you do not know the source. Always look at the title and the associated links in the message. If you have any concern over these kind of scams contact your County Sheriff's Office for help.
